Golden Lion for raumlabor
Berlin based collective has been awarded at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice
For their contribution to the main exhibition of the 17th architecture biennial “How will we live together?”, raumlabor has been awarded the Golden Lion. The jury composed of Kazuyo Sejima (president, Japan), Sandra Barclay (Peru), Lamia Joreige (Lebanon), Lesley Lokko (Ghana-Scotland), Luca Molinari (Italy), elaborated that the prestigious award has been given for “an inspiring collaborative approach that argues for participation, regeneration and collective responsibility, resulting in two projects that are a model for imaginative civic revitalization.” The installation shows two Berlin projects, Haus der Statistik and Floating University, that will also be documented in the upcoming monography of raumlabor, Polylemma, published at JOVIS in autumn 2022.
